SORRY THAT CELERY JUICE AIN’T MAGICAL

So celery juice is a thing and science had some thoughts.

Celery juice detox claims:

  • Transforms digestive health

  • Decreases risk of chronic disease

  • Hydrates on a "deeper cellular level"

  • Balances pH

  • Cures depression

  • Alleviates anxiety

  • Will make you superhuman

But actually…

While celery touts some pretty great nutrients to include:

  • Vitamin A, C, & K

  • Folate, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, iron, manganese

  • Phytonutrients

  • Antioxidants

You'd benefit MORE from these if you just eat the damn celery AND all those awesome nutrients, you can find in an abundance of other fruits and veggies. Meaning, celery ain't that special.

Sorry, celery.

You have a liver?

Cool...you got a badass, built-in detox machine and you didn't even have to gargle any bitter celery sludge for it!

Juicing celery strips away the fiber, the portion of the celery that actually would help support good gut health (and helps you feel full)

Celery does have a slight diuretic effect that can help with bloating and water retention, but the effect is minimal and likely only supports NORMAL body functions.

Celery doesn't alter pH.

And while…

Celery may reduce inflammation and boost heart health, so do lots of other great veggies!

Eat the rainbow!

BOTTOMLINE

Celery is trying real hard to glow-up and corner the market on the juice game, but sorry celery, stick with what you're good at: Ants on a Log.
